Pink Friday - the love list

I'm a big fan of color pink. Pretty much any shade of pink. And lately I've been drawn even more to this beautiful, cheerful and feminine color. Blush tones especially paired with heather gray. So beautiful!

let's call them necessities...

It's winter time. Which means it's cold. Very cold. So cold that I haven't taken outfit pictures in what seems f.o.r.e.v.e.r.  It takes some getting used to this kind of weather, ya'll. I'm sure you'd agree.  So I'm hoping that any day I'll brave the freezing cold, suck it up, and take outfit pictures.

Until then, I'm looking at some pretty things. Some things that might have somehow snuck their way into my closet. Other ones are begging to join…

Once again…the gorgeous Kate Spade bag is making an appearance on this blog.  I can't get over how beautiful it is, yet I really don't need another bag….said no-one ever! (except I did earlier today to hubby after he told me to just buy it finally. I'm getting a feeling he might be tired hearing about it...).

BUT, it IS on sale + it's an additional 25% off…ah-mazing!

Kate Spade Bag // Michael Kors Watch // Blue Coat // Nine West Pumps // J.Crew Factory Necklace // Plaid Shirt // Kate Spade Candle // Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish //  Bobbi Brown Blush //  Kiehl's Hydration Essentil Set

Everything on the list is on sale with discount codes found on each website!

Also, for those of you who have been eyeing the beautiful Michael Kors Selma bag - it's also 25% off right now.

Happy Monday!

I think this lil' blog of mine was neglected while I was in NY!  Everyone needs a break I guess. I'm back and what a better way to start a new week than with a giveaway.

I've been a fan of Sole Society for quite a while now and have accumulated a "few" pairs.  But since there is no such thing as too many shoes it's all good.

One of Lilly's Style readers will win a pair of shoes of their choice from Sole Society.

All you have to do is:

1)  Visit SoleSociety
2) Pick your favorite pair of shoes
3) Come back to this post and let me know in the comments below which pair if your favorite

Easy as that!

The giveaway will end of Dec. 16th at midnight EST. The winner will be randomly selected and announced that week.

Gilded New York....a visit to the Museum of the City of New York

On a recent visit to the Museum of the City of New York we visited one of their exhibitions "Gilded New York". It explores the culture of the city at the end of the 19th century, an era marked by success and lavish lifestyles.  The exhibition features jewelry, costumes and decorative objects set in a beautiful display. We even found some shoes!
From their website:

Explore the visual culture of elite New York in the late-19th and early- 20th centuries.

Inaugurating the Museum’s Tiffany & Co. Foundation Gallery, Gilded New York explores the city’s visual culture at the end of the 19th century, when its elite class flaunted their money as never before. In New York, this era was marked by the sudden rise of industrial and corporate wealth, amassed by such titans as Cornelius Vanderbilt and Jay Gould, who expressed their high status through extravagant fashions, architecture, and interior design. The exhibition presents a lavish display of some 100 works, including costumes, jewelry, portraits, and decorative objects, all created between the mid-1870s and the early 20th century. The dazzling works in the exhibition will illuminate an era when members of the new American aristocracy often displayed their wealth in storied balls in Fifth Avenue mansions and hotels. It was a time when New York became the nation’s corporate headquarters and a popular Ladies’ Mile of luxury retail establishments and cultural institutions helped launch the city to global prominence.
